Welcome to Silverbacks Rugby Sevens, a proud beacon of sporting prowess and camaraderie since its inception in 2015. Born out of passion and dedication, our club has grown impressively over the years, now boasting a dynamic roster of 25 active members and a legacy that includes over 150 alumni.

Our commitment to the game is evident not only in our participation in the Swiss Sevens League but also on international platforms. Our journey on the field has seen us face formidable opponents and achieve remarkable feats. Among our proudest moments was the 2019 campaign at the E2C – ESSEC Champions Cup, where we clinched a commendable second place. Our recent venture in 2022 saw us representing the prestigious University of St. Gallen at the World Inter Universities Championship in Barcelona.

However, the essence of the Silverbacks extends beyond the rugby pitch. We are a community, a melting pot of diverse students coming together, not just for the love of the game but also to forge lasting relationships. Our frequent social events provide a haven for students to interact, bond, and create memories that last a lifetime.

But, being a Silverback is not only about playing hard but also giving back. Each year, we channel our unity and dedication towards charitable causes. Our annual calendar sales have become a beacon of our philanthropic endeavors. In 2022 alone, we raised over 2100 francs, proudly donating to the “Wings for Life” foundation, contributing to their noble mission.
